Introduction

Finnkids Program

Our pedagogy is based on the constructivist and sociocultural learning theory which believes that knowledge is constructed through learning experiences. It is essential for children to explore, create and experiment in a rich learning environment to build a strong love towards learning. Supporting children's inner curiosity and need to explore new things!

CURRICULUM

Importance of Early Child Care and Education

Pre-schools play a crucial role in laying the foundation for a proper psychological, physical and social development of children.

CURRICULUM

Leading The Way!

The Finnkids Early Years Program is based on the learning areas that are at the heart of the Finnish National Core Curriculum integrated with Indian national education policy with elements of Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies.

Learning life skills such as exploring, identifying, communicating, risk-taking, sharing, relating and interacting & bonding with peers.

Our future-ready early years education develops important future skills of collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication to prepare kids for their next stage of education and an unknown future.

Each child is unique. Our curriculum, teacher training, excellent student-teacher ratio and technology enable our school to provide personalized education for each child.

Our philosophy follows activity-based learning. Learning by doing! At Finnkids, we have gone beyond the textbooks and have created Activity-Guides that enable teachers to deliver topics in more than one way to support the kid's individual needs.

Guiding children to be present in the moment. Age- appropriate activities increase focus, reduce stress levels, increase learning potential, and a happy mind!

Finn kids Early Years Program seeks inspiration from the Finnish National Core curriculum and encourages environments to be equipped with child-sized furniture and fittings in order to provide independence and autonomy with guidance from the teachers.

It is a pedagogical management tool to enhance the entire learning process and enable personalized learning. Support assessment, engage families, and shows the daily developmental progress of each child´s learning.

Every Finnkids teacher goes through professional development trainings conducted by using Finnish methodology before the school opening and continuous support & trainings are provided periodically to keep our teachers up-to-date.

Finnkids Assessment Rubric takes inputs from teacher´s observations, self-evaluation and peer evaluation. Each learning area is divided into developmental domains, which outline broad categories of children´ social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. It ensures that assessment is NOT a judgement but rather a measurement of forward movement and the level of support needed to progress. This evaluation is converted into a developmental review report for the parents.
